A gentle route that allows us to enjoy the native forest of the upper Nansa among large beech trees, and spectacular panoramic views over the Polaciones and Liébana valley.
We will discover the importance of the historic roads and the extensive livestock activity that has impressed the character of this territory. We walk through places of high ecological value where two of the most representative animals of the environment move, the brown bear and the wolf.
Old beech trees accompany our steps and if we are lucky maybe we can enjoy the fun jumps of the squirrels between its branches. Tracks of roe deer, deer and wild boar indicate their presence.
A carpet of litter takes us to the high brañas. Protected by the special silhouette of the more than 2,000 m of Peña Labra, we contemplate the imposing massifs that surround us, among which are the Picos de Europa.
This route offers the privilege of being lost in the middle of nature, where observation activates the imagination and the landscape transmits emotion. The whole landscape thus becomes an experience.
