Distance: 4 km
Slope: 70 m
Season: March / June (All year round)
The route starts from the Camino Real de Selores Hotel, in the Cabuerniga valley, where after finishing the tour we will taste some wild tapas by chef Antonio Vicente.
It is a circular route of little difficulty in which the guide will discover the infinity of edible and medicinal plants in the environment. It will help us to distinguish them and will give us indications about their uses, as well as their correct collection and the precautions for their consumption.
While we taste the tapas, we will do a little review and make an ointment with some of the plants seen during the route.
MEDICINAL & EDIBLE PLANTS
For millennia, humans have used plants to heal and feed themselves. With the advent of agriculture, these species were selected until we reached the most common vegetables that we grow today in our gardens. In the process, many of them have grown in size and their flavors have softened, but along the way many properties that remain intact in their wild relatives have been lost.
This route is intended to be an initiation, a first approach to this world that is not so far away in time. In many cases, our grandmothers and grandfathers knew and collected these plants, thus complementing their diet and their medicine cabinet.
