Our first stop on this excursion to seethe main towns on the Western Coast of Cantabria will be on San Vicente de la Barquera, fishing and fishing village, and whose port was and continues to be the heart of the municipality's activity. During the tour we will admire the privileged environment that surroundsto this villa located in the heart of the Oyambre Natural Park . A park that we will also visit along its coastal path, you will love its estuaries, beaches, dunes and cliffs, a true natural treasure.

Our next stop will be to see Comillas, the only town with modernist influence in Cantabria. You will fall in love with its heritage complex formed by the Sobrellano Palace and Chapel and the Pontifical University. HereYou will have free time for shopping or to visit Gaudí's El Capricho (optional visit),   Probably the building that captivates the most eyes in Cantabria due to the colors and shapes it mixes together. We may wonder why Gaudí chose this place to place his work in a place other than his beloved Barcelona. We will find out on our visit!

Our excursion through the most important towns on the Western Coast will also take us to Santillana del Mar, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain and famous for itsmedieval buildings, its cobbled streets and its collegiate church of Santa Juliana, a Romanesque jewel in Cantabria. In addition, the medieval architectural complex of mansions, towers and palaces will catch our attention. Here  We will arrive around 2:30 pm and you will have free time for lunch (not included). As Santillana is very busy in summer, we recommend booking your restaurant in advance.

As a final touch to this day,We will travel to the Altamira Museum to visit its Neocave, a replica of the prehistoric paintings of the original cave that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 and that will allow us to travel to the primal era of human beings.
