TOUR DESCRIPTION
Our journey begins at 3:30 p.m. from Santander, heading to the Sequoia Forest of Cabezón de la Sal, designated a Natural Monument in 2003. Spanning 2.5 hectares, this forest is one of the largest of its kind in Spain. Once there, we will take a leisurely walk along its network of trails, allowing you to marvel at the towering sequoias, some reaching up to 40 meters in height, while enjoying the tranquility and natural beauty of the surroundings.
Next, we will travel to the charming town of San Vicente de la Barquera, one of the most iconic and picturesque destinations along the Cantabrian coast. Here, the sea and estuary blend harmoniously with the backdrop of the Picos de Europa.
In San Vicente, we will explore its bridges and the historic old town, a Cultural Heritage Site of Cantabria known for its remarkable monuments and remnants of an ancient defensive wall. Highlights include the Gothic Church of Santa María de los Ángeles and the Castillo del Rey, which we will also visit.
To conclude, you’ll have free time to relax, enjoy a drink, or browse local shops before we return to Santander.
