TOUR DESCRIPTION
 

We will leave at 9:00 am for Santoña, one of the main fishing villages in Cantabria and the heart of the anchovy industry in the region. We will visit there one of the most important factories in the area, Conservas Emilia, and we will discover what the process of making anchovies is like. You will be surprised how much manual work is behind the preparation of this product. Taking advantage of our passage through Santoña, we will take some time for a brief drive tour around to see the port, the promenade and enjoy the magnificent views that its Bay offers us.

Our next stop will be to visit Bodegas Vidular, a family business that produces one of the best white wines in the region. You will love walking through their vineyard while they explain to us how they produce their wines. How could it be otherwise, we will end this visit with a tasting of their wines, as well as a small snack.

Next, we will head towards the Pasiego Valleys where we will stop for lunch. Food will be the menu of the day in a nice local restaurant. After this stop, we will take the opportunity to take a panoramic tour of the area until we reach the Mirador de la Braguía. From there we can see the impressive mountains of the Cantabrian mountain range. The views will be simply spectacular!

Finally, we will return to Selaya to visit the largest Sobaos and Quesadas workshop in the area: Sobaos Joselín. You will visit its facilities and enjoy a guided tour of its “sobao and quesada museum.” As the icing on the cake of this visit, you will participate in a guided tasting of its products.

After this full and varied day, we will resume our way to Santander, where we should arrive around 6.30 pm.

The minimum age to participate in this experience is 5 years old.

You must be at the meeting point at least 5 minutes before departure time.

For the excursion to take place, there must be a minimum of 2 registered. The company reserves the right to cancel the outing if the group does not reach the minimum number of participants or if the weather conditions are very adverse. In such case, you would be given the option to change the tour date or full refund.

For groups of at least 4 people we can do this excursion on other days outside the program. Always subject to availability and keeping the tour open to other reservations (possible from 11/15 to 06/01)
